The roar of the rocket could be heard and felt for miles, shaking our little studio here. Oh, man, it's wild. Nearly 9 million pounds of thrust sending those four astronauts into a clear blue sky at almost five miles a second, before pushing them into the void of space and putting our planet in the rear view mirror. We have a beautiful moon rise, we're headed right at it. It's NASA's first human lunar mission since 1972, and the agency hopes many more will follow. After a brief 54 year intermission, NASA is back in the business of sending astronauts to the moon. Back on the ground, cheers as hundreds of thousands of awestruck spectators watched every second unfold. Many of them just across the shore from here in Titusville, Florida. Our colleague Rob Marciano was there too and spoke to the city's mayor. It's about the future. It's about instilling these exciting values into our kids and getting them inspired to go to Mars. That part of the mission, it seems, already a success. I will see Farakka launch into space because I'm so obsessed with space. We're all that little guy right now. That is astronaut Jack.
