The Australian Prime Minister has arrived in London following a five-day visit to New York. He is scheduled for a formal meeting with UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at 10 Downing Street, where they are expected to discuss a range of topics including their recent declarations of support for Palestinian statehood, ongoing support for Ukraine, and the AUKUS submarine agreement. The leaders have met previously and are reported to have a good working relationship.

The visit also includes meetings with other world leaders such as those from Canada and Spain, as part of a conference for centre-left leaders. The Australian Prime Minister is expected to seek advice from Starmer on engaging with Donald Trump ahead of a planned meeting. Additionally, a meeting with the King is likely during the three-day stay in the UK.

The US President has just been here and the UK has an interest in Australia's meeting going well, hoping the AUKUS submarine deal remains intact and that the US President stays in as is. AUKUS is a critically important part of those ongoing discussions and engagement that we have with our British counterparts. The New York News is also meeting with other world leaders here too. Canada, Spain and that's because they along with Australia are taking part in a conference for centre left leaders and it's all part of what appears to be a strategy by the Prime Minister to be in with like minded countries. Another big meeting that's likely while he's here is with the King who was in Australia almost a year ago. The Prime Minister is spending the weekend here in the UK so he'll be here for three days in total.
