Well, you found me backstage here at the ARIES and this is where the winners come straight after they've had their little moment on stage and here's one of the Pointy Statues now, but there is a rule. You're not allowed to hold it unless you've won it. So I'm only going to be able to point to it. But let's chat to some people who are getting to hold it. What a year! Does coming to the ARIES and walking away with Pointy Statues cap it off nicely? Yeah, it does, but touring with ACDC caps it off even better! How do you sum up the year you've had? Huge. Huge. One word, say less. One word, flat out. F***ing huge. How did it feel opening the show? That was an honour. Like to be able to walk through the crowd and have, you know, I mean to be honest I want to shout out all the incredible women that were on stage. You know, I'm just singing and dancing. They're holding it together, so shout out all the Aussie women doing it. My mum and dad are like over the moon. It's crazy. The family group chat is going off right now. It's insane. Look, I mean accessibility is important for every child and so it makes sense for us at MMMR to include that when we're thinking about the music. That's what's so nice about tonight. You have the most glorious laugh. How happy are you to have won this? I'm like over, yeah, I don't even know what to say. I'm over the roof, like I'm over the moon. You've got a special, different looking ARIA there. Yeah, this one's translucent. I'm not sure why, but it's an honour. It's amazing. It's a global impact award, yeah? Yeah, yeah. It basically means if you've spent more time sitting on planes than anyone else. How exciting is it for you to get this win off the back of the Hall of Fame last year? It's pretty amazing, yeah. Like I released my album almost a year ago, so I kind of forgot that I was eligible for this year's ARIAs. I think you're also inspiring a lot of other young Australians to just try, to just have a go. What would you say to that? Just keep trying and treat your creativity like going to the gym and go every day and stay creatively fit and even if it's a little bit every day, you never know when you open the laptop what you might make when you just give it a go. So, a big night so far, but probably an even bigger night ahead for the winners at the 2025 ARIAs.
