Belgium's Remco Evenepoel secured his third consecutive gold in the men's individual time trial, completing the 40.6-kilometre course in 49 minutes and 6 seconds. In the women's elite individual time trial, Swiss cyclist Marlen Reusser claimed her first title, finishing the 31.2-kilometre course in 43 minutes and 9 seconds.

With both of the trainings and the race today as well, I hope I will have the same feeling until next week, but yeah, I mean, it's for sure something that you need to adapt to in the first few days, but I came here with like an open mindset and ready for every situation. So I think, yeah, so far it's been going pretty well. We've got a whole team behind us getting us ready for this race and yeah, celebrate with the team and do a long ride tomorrow. Looking forward to jumping out on the road bike, same thing on that, this is the truth. Swiss cyclist Marlene Reusser won her first UCI women's elite individual time trial title. Reusser completed the 31.2 kilometre course in 43 minutes and 9 seconds, topping the podium after years of near misses. These championships has brought together a record of 106 countries from across the world, with 35 African countries represented.
