SpaceX's ninth test flight of its Super Heavy-Starship rocket launched from Texas but encountered significant technical issues. Shortly after liftoff, the booster exploded during its return, and later, a fuel tank leak caused engineers to lose control of the Starship, which broke apart upon re-entry above the Indian Ocean. 

Despite these setbacks, SpaceX remains committed to its testing program, aiming to increase the frequency of launches. The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) will review the incident to determine if further investigations or restrictions are necessary. SpaceX's progress is being closely watched amid international competition in lunar exploration, particularly with China, but the company continues to focus on improving reliability and safety before attempting crewed missions.
