Virginia Giuffre, a prominent advocate for survivors of sexual abuse, has died at the age of 41. According to a statement from her family, Giuffre died by suicide. She was known as the public face of the sex trafficking allegations against Jeffrey Epstein.

Giuffre was a mother of three and had been actively involved in advocating for victims’ rights. She first met Epstein as a teenager and later played a significant role in bringing his abuses to public attention. Giuffre stated that she was not only abused by Epstein but also trafficked to powerful individuals, including Britain's Prince Andrew. Prince Andrew has denied the allegations and settled a lawsuit with Giuffre without admitting wrongdoing.

Dini von Muffling, Giuffre's publicist and friend, mentioned that Giuffre had recently experienced a marriage breakdown and was in pain from a recent car crash. The family described her as a "fierce warrior" and someone who stood up for the voiceless. Both Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, who is serving a 20-year sentence for sex trafficking and related crimes, settled lawsuits with Giuffre.
