Hay aproximadamente 15.000 fuerzas de EE.UU. actualmente en esta región. Cuando digo esta región, me refiero a la isla de Puerto Rico y los mares de la costa. Aquí en Puerto Rico, fuimos testigos de los cazas F-35. Llevan aquí unas seis semanas despegando. Los vimos nosotros mismos, pero están despegando día y noche. Además de eso, esos aviones no tripulados Reaper que se cree que son responsables de esas drogas a los que se acaba de referir, más de dos docenas, están despegando de otro aeródromo en el oeste del país. Y están armados con misiles Hellfire. Lo vimos por nosotros mismos. Y para darte una idea del aumento de la temperatura aquí, ha habido un NOTAM, un aviso a los aviadores aquí en Puerto Rico y San Juan, pero ahora también esta noche en Venezuela mismo, sólo para dar a los pilotos una idea de toda la actividad aquí, los aviones militares que están en el aire, incluyendo los B-52, que ya han visto, y los F-35. Y hablamos con el gobernador puertorriqueño sobre cómo esta isla se ha convertido en una avanzada base de operaciones. Esto es lo que tenía que decir ¿Por qué Puerto Rico es tan importante estratégicamente en esta región? No es sólo por nuestra posición en el Caribe. Es decir, somos la frontera con Venezuela y las aguas de Estados Unidos. Así que eso significa que las Islas Vírgenes y Puerto Rico, estamos en el medio. Así que todas las aguas se cruzan con aguas internacionales con Venezuela. La amenaza más importante en este momento son las drogas, drogas que siguen entrando en el isla y de aquí a los Estados Unidos. Y con ese dinero mantienen a Maduro en el poder. Así que como dijo el gobernador González Colon, se trata de interdicción de drogas. Y eso es lo que la administración Trump sigue reiterando. Pero Mayor, tenemos un portaaviones USS Gerald R. Ford con cuatro escuadrones de F-18 que ahora, los cazas F-18 que ahora están activos, los F-35, los drones. Esto parece mucho más grande que la interdicción de drogas.
