U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee visited a fifth-century church in the West Bank town of Taibe after it was reportedly set on fire by Israeli settlers. Huckabee strongly condemned the attack, labeling it an act of terror and sacrilege, and called for those responsible to be prosecuted rather than merely reprimanded.

The ambassador also urged Israel to investigate the killing of Palestinian-American Saif Moslet, which Moslet's family alleges was carried out by Israeli settlers. The incident occurs amid ongoing violence in the West Bank and worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza, where aid agencies warn of a critical risk of famine.
