The demonstrations, among the largest since the war began, saw widespread business closures and calls for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to halt further military action.

The Israeli government has allowed additional aid into Gaza, but humanitarian organizations report that malnutrition rates among children are rising. Some aid deliveries, particularly airdrops, have faced criticism for being dangerous and ineffective, with incidents resulting in civilian casualties.
