Professional photographer Bill Delzell is on a mission to find the unknown photographer who seemed to capture every element of San Francisco in the 1960s. John Blackstone has the story.

A large collection of undeveloped film rolls, believed to be from San Francisco in the 1960s, has been discovered and is now at the center of a mystery. The photographs, which include scenes of counterculture icons, civil rights marches, and everyday life, were found in an abandoned storage unit and eventually acquired by professional photographer Bill Delzell. Delzell was impressed by the quality and scope of the images, which document significant moments and figures from the era.

Despite the collection's historical value, the identity of the photographer remains unknown, and many rolls of film are still unprocessed. Delzell has launched a crowdfunding campaign to develop the remaining film, which could reveal up to 2,700 additional images. The search continues to uncover the story behind the photographer and the reason the work was left unseen for decades.
