Investigators noted that Huisentruit had previously reported being followed and feared she was being stalked. Over the years, police have interviewed multiple persons of interest, including John Van Sise and Christopher Rivack, but no official suspects have been named. Authorities continue to receive tips and insist the case remains active, hoping that new evidence or a confession could eventually resolve the decades-old mystery.
