Slovenian cyclist Tadej Pogačar secured his second world road race crown in Kigali on Sunday, September 28, closing what he described as a “perfect season.”

Tadej Pogačar of Slovenia secured his second consecutive UCI World Road Race title in Kigali, Rwanda, during the first world championship event hosted on African soil. Pogačar completed the 267.5 km course in 6 hours, 21 minutes, and 20 seconds, following his previous win in Zurich.

This victory makes Pogačar the first cyclist to win both the Tour de France and the World Road Race title in consecutive years. Belgium's Remco Evenepoel finished second, while Ireland's Ben Healey took third place. Out of 165 starters, only 31 riders finished the race.
