Saturday Night Live concluded its 50th season with Scarlett Johansson as host and Bad Bunny as the musical guest. Johansson hosted for a record seventh time, surpassing the previous records held by Tina Fey and Drew Barrymore for most hosting appearances by a female guest on the show.

During the episode, Johansson interacted with Weekend Update anchors Michael Che and her husband Colin Jost. Bad Bunny performed as the musical guest for the third time on the show, ahead of his upcoming world tour, which does not include dates in the United States.
