While on board the flight, Pope Leo greeted journalists, wished Americans a happy Thanksgiving, and received a Louisville Slugger baseball bat once owned by White Sox legend Nellie Fox, a nod to his Chicago roots. The pope's itinerary includes a stop in Lebanon before returning to Rome.
