The clean up process has begun in north Texas after a series of storms and tornadoes wreaked havoc over the weekend.

Cleanup efforts are underway across north Texas following a series of tornadoes that caused widespread damage. Parker County has been particularly affected, with several tornadoes reported to have touched down. Residents are now faced with the daunting task of clearing debris and beginning the rebuilding process. The damage is extensive, especially in neighborhoods like Dry Creek Estates where roofs were ripped off and homes significantly impacted. 

Anne-Marie Shallcross, a resident of Dry Creek Estates, recounted the scene of devastation that greeted her following the storm. The tornadoes left houses with roofs torn off, and debris scattered throughout the area. For newcomers like Kirsten Dunn, who took shelter with her family during the storm, the experience was unsettling yet eye-opening, realizing the seriousness of such weather events. 

Despite the destruction, residents are grateful that no injuries have occurred. According to Zane Nixon, owner of Dry Creek Estates, homes that sustained the most damage were unoccupied during the tornadoes. With no casualties reported, the community is now focused on recovery efforts. Crews are working to restore power in affected neighborhoods and assess the extent of the damage as rebuilding begins.
