Items from The Beatles, Nirvana and Taylor Swift will be up for bid in New York City next week, as Julien's Auctions announces the return of its Music Icons auction.

Julien's Auctions has announced that more than 700 items associated with well-known musicians will be available for bidding at its upcoming Music Icons auction in New York City. The event will take place at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square and is expected to attract fans and collectors of music memorabilia from around the world.

Among the items being auctioned are a guitar belonging to Noel Gallagher, a pink jumpsuit worn by Dolly Parton, and a handwritten letter by John Lennon. The collection also includes a sparkly dress worn by Taylor Swift, with an estimated sale price of between $6,000 and $8,000. Items from The Beatles, Nirvana, and Taylor Swift will feature prominently in the event.

A key highlight of the auction is a guitar once owned by Kurt Cobain, which is estimated to sell for between $300,000 and $500,000. Julien's Auctions previously set a record when it sold Cobain's Martin D18 guitar from his MTV Unplugged performance for over $6 million.

The auction house aims to raise at least $2 million through this event. Organisers acknowledge that the unpredictable nature of celebrity memorabilia can sometimes lead to items selling for significantly more than their estimates.
