The memoir also details a confidential legal settlement reached between Giuffre and Prince Andrew, which included a reported multi-million-pound payment and a personal statement from the prince, but no admission of guilt. British media report that police are now investigating claims that Prince Andrew attempted to discredit Giuffre. In response to the renewed scrutiny, Prince Andrew has relinquished some royal titles, though calls continue for further action from the royal family.
