Pro-Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil spoke to supporters at Columbia University after being released from ICE custody. Khalil rejected claims by the Trump administration that he posed a threat to U.S. national security, stating his commitment to human rights and his identity as a Palestinian refugee. 

A judge ordered Khalil's release, finding no concrete evidence to justify his continued detention while immigration proceedings continue. Federal authorities are still seeking his removal from the country. The report also included an update on Kilmar Obrego-Garcia, whose release was ordered by a Tennessee judge due to insufficient evidence linking him to criminal activity, with further hearings scheduled.
