Police in Nassau County have arrested Nadeep Singh, a 48-year-old from Hicksville, in connection with an alleged murder-for-hire plot against his former business associate. Authorities report that Singh, who was removed from a construction job and involved in a civil lawsuit with the intended victim, allegedly offered $100,000 and land in India to have the man killed and dismembered. 

Investigators say Singh provided burner phones and cash to a middleman, and gave detailed instructions for the attack, including kidnapping and torture. The plot was uncovered when the hired individual withdrew from the plan and contacted police, leading to Singh's arrest. Singh is being held on significant bail and faces up to 25 years in prison if convicted.
