A report from the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority indicates that fewer Californians are traveling to the city, as traffic at the California-Nevada border has decreased by 4% year-on-year.

In response to changing conditions, some casino workers on the Las Vegas Strip have unionized, with the Culinary Workers Union achieving what it describes as a historic victory. Union representatives and workers say the move has provided increased protections, job security, and benefits, even as union membership remains at a historic low. The unionization efforts have also focused on addressing workplace discrimination and harassment.
