The timing of payments will differ depending on the agency's payroll system, and the initial paychecks will cover work performed between October 1st and November 1st. Workers have reported financial difficulties during the shutdown, including taking on additional jobs and delaying necessary expenses, but all affected employees are expected to receive full compensation for missed pay periods.
