The Confederation highlighted that workplace accident risks rise as temperatures climb, and is calling for EU-wide measures, including setting maximum working temperatures for different sectors. While some member states have implemented thresholds, unions argue that these are insufficient to protect workers during increasingly frequent and severe heatwaves.
