When viewed from certain angles, the original materials are visible, but from the front, the assembled items become recognisable works of art.

Deininger’s work is intended to shift perspectives on waste, highlighting the connection between human consumption and environmental threats. He describes his process as “painting with junk,” aiming to both condemn and celebrate the wide array of objects humans produce and discard. Some of his pieces specifically address the dangers faced by wildlife, such as birds and sea life affected by pollution.

Growing up near Boston, Deininger's awareness of environmental issues was shaped by experiences with polluted rivers and later observations of trash washing up on remote South Pacific islands. He began collecting discarded items and incorporating them into his art, a practice that initially attracted little attention. This changed after a video of his work gained traction on social media, quickly expanding his audience and recognition.

With growing popularity, Deininger has exhibited at major venues including Art Basel in Miami and signed with a New York gallery. Supporters now send him boxes of materials to use in his art, further fueling his creative process. He has sold every piece he has made and has used his earnings to establish an animal sanctuary. Alongside his art, Deininger is committed to environmental stewardship, frequently collecting trash from beaches and emphasising the importance of addressing pollution.
