On a recent day, retail portfolios saw significant gains, with an average increase of 17% according to JP Morgan, as the S&P 500 recorded its largest one-day gain since 2008.

Some momentum has since shifted as retail investors began realizing gains, moving their focus from single stocks to exchange-traded funds (ETFs). This trend indicates possible long-term bets on more diverse equities, with Vanguard's S&P ETF being notably popular among traders. NVIDIA has emerged as the most actively traded stock, accounting for a significant portion of recent single-stock investments. Although sentiment towards other popular stocks like Tesla has been mixed, some investors are engaging in riskier strategies, such as trading leveraged ETFs for heightened exposure to indices like the Nasdaq 100.

The trading behavior of retail investors suggests a diversification of strategies, with a mix of traditional and high-risk trading practices still prevalent. The 'YOLO' trading culture remains active, maintaining interest in leveraged and double-exposure ETFs.
