According to analysts, the tariff exemptions allow Apple to mitigate their impact more effectively, potentially by diverting production to other countries like India and Vietnam, where the 10 percent tariffs are no longer applicable. It is reported that Apple is now producing one in five iPhones in India, with expectations for further increases. This strategic move aligns with previous expectations that such exemptions would be granted and is seen as beneficial for Apple's international production strategy. There is reduced pressure for Apple to move manufacturing to the U.S. as a result of these exemptions.

Historically, Apple was expected to position itself favorably in matters of policy, as suggested by CEO Tim Cook’s $1 million donation to former President Trump's inaugural fund. However, analysts remind that no company is entirely free from tariff implications, though current market trends indicate optimism that Apple's status might remain unchanged. The focus currently remains on India's contribution to iPhone production, which is expected to play a critical role in Apple's manufacturing plans.
