Apple remains one of the top five holdings of Berkshire Hathaway, headed by Warren Buffett. According to recent reports, the company's shares experienced a slight decline of about 2 percent, breaking an eight-day winning streak. Despite this dip, the company beat expectations on both top and bottom lines in their latest earnings report.

Amidst ongoing discussions about global tariffs, Apple CEO Tim Cook has strategically managed the company's supply chain. In efforts to alleviate the impact of tariffs, a significant number of iPhones sold in the United States will now be sourced from India, where tariff rates are more favorable compared to China. Additionally, other products such as AirPods, watches, and Macs are being increasingly manufactured in Vietnam.

While Apple's margins remain strong between 45.5 and 46.5 percent, potential impacts of tariffs remain uncertain beyond the current quarter. A portion of Apple's challenges stems from a lack of clarity on the future tariff landscape, leading to some downgrades on Wall Street.

In terms of market demand, Apple noted organic interest in its products, particularly in the United States, despite the looming tariffs. However, in China, Apple faces competition from domestic brands due to a growing sense of nationalism and preference for brand innovation. Competitors such as Huawei and Oppo continue to capture significant market share there.
