Tunisia has experienced a significant increase in wildfire damage over the past decade, with drought and reduced rainfall contributing to the problem. The pilot project, conducted in collaboration with the Forestry Department, is still in its early stages. If successful, officials hope to expand the use of AI sensors to protect more forested areas and support the livelihoods of the approximately one million people living in these ecosystems.
