A stampede at Bartolome Buganda High School in Bangui, the capital of the Central African Republic, has resulted in the deaths of at least 29 students and injuries to more than 250 others. The incident occurred when an electrical explosion caused panic among over 5,000 students who were sitting for their final exams. 

Local authorities reported that the explosion happened as power was being restored to a malfunctioning transformer within the school premises. The resulting chaos led to a deadly stampede, making it one of the most serious incidents in the region's recent history.
