Is the government shutdown still going on?

Answer
The government shutdown is still ongoing, having reached at least four weeks with no funding bill passed. Both parties remain at an impasse, and no new negotiations or scheduled votes are reported. Federal workers continue to miss paychecks, and over 40 million Americans face imminent loss of SNAP food assistance if the shutdown persists.
