The aggressor must pay for aggression. For the rest, there is no plan that is finalized today. On the issue of territories, it can only be finalized by President Zelensky. On the issue of frozen assets, security guarantees, access to the European Union, European sanctions, it can only be finalized with the Europeans around the table. Over the weekend, a Ukrainian delegation met with U.S. officials to discuss the peace deal. According to U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the meeting had been productive. The latest round of talks comes at a challenging time for Kyiv, as Russian forces continue to gain ground in eastern Ukraine and Zelensky is facing strain following a domestic corruption scandal.
