President Shaukat Merzioev of Uzbekistan has announced two major initiatives to modernize public administration and accelerate digital transformation in the country. By 2030, Uzbekistan aims to become a zero-bureaucracy nation, with 95% of its 1,500 public services fully digital and the government operating paperlessly.

A new AI initiative, launched in partnership with the United Arab Emirates, will train 4.75 million students, 150,000 teachers, and 100,000 government employees in artificial intelligence. The program will integrate AI into all levels of education and is expected to strengthen Uzbekistan's IT ecosystem and government efficiency.

Two initiatives aimed at modernizing public administration and boosting more the digital transformation of Uzbekistan were announced by President Shaukat Merzioev. The announcements came during two forums that brought together high-ranking representatives of the governments of Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates, foreign states and international organizations. President Merzioev stressed that the ultimate goal is to transform Uzbekistan into a zero-bureaucracy country by 2030. By 2030, 95 percent of 1,500 public services will be fully digital, and the government will transition to a paperless system. I was very impressed to find that there is quite a lot of development that has been done in the Uzbekistan side, especially with regards to the platform and interconnecting all the entities and this can help significantly in zeroing bureaucracy. The AI initiative, titled Five Million AI Leaders in the Country, was launched in collaboration with the United Arab Emirates. In the framework of the project, it's planned to train 4.75 million schoolchildren and students, 150,000 teachers and 100,000 government employees by 2030. Artificial intelligence will be integrated into school, vocational and higher education systems. This initiative will impact the development of IT ecosystem and this is a great chance for our youth. This project is going to benefit us so much because, as we know, nowadays AI is becoming more and more popular. As an ambassador of this project in my region, I believe that every student has a right to use and utilize AI to increase their productivity and improve their lives. The United Arab Emirates has announced its full readiness to support launching this national program. From eliminating bureaucracy to launching initiatives for training AI experts, the country is set to streamline services and build a more efficient, transparent government.
