Companies offering a 20 percent raise, but workers want closer to 40, something they say CEOs have gotten in recent years. Companies have made a quarter of a trillion dollars in the last 10 years, 21 billion dollars in the last six months alone, and our workers' wages and conditions have went backwards. Workers also want a four-day work week and the return of pension plans. Friday, more than 12,000 workers went on strike outside three plants, and that number could rise. The strike could cost the U.S. economy billions and lead to higher car prices. The White House has assigned two administration officials to help with the negotiations.
