This victory marked a new beginning for Lehman players, who expressed relief and excitement at breaking their losing streak.

The matchup was part of a doubleheader, and in the second game, Yeshiva University also ended their losing streak, winning a game for the first time since 2022. This afternoon of baseball provided redemption for both teams, highlighting their perseverance and dedication to the sport.

It was the kind of april day that reminds you winter doesn't give up easy 42 degrees 34 with the windchill and two teams chasing something that cold couldn't touch. Not a championship, just a win. Lehman College came in losing 41 straight games. Yeshiva University had dropped 99 straight two programs trying to remember what it feels like to win. Is there any way that losing has bound this team together? I think the all the negativity around it has definitely bring us closer. Let's build a brotherhood. If you want an opportunity to compete, an opportunity to dominate Lehman's manager Christopher Delgado has shouldered every loss. Some streaks create headlines. This streak creates character. That's where you become a better teammate, a better friend, a better brother for these guys that are going on to the real world, you know, better employees, better bosses, even better husbands later on. On the other side, the yeshiva fans came out in force. Oh, I got that. I got that. I got they're very resilient. A lot of motivation. 90 something games around. You come out and like Sammy said, you keep, you keep fighting. I think they're gonna do it and I can't wait to see them after the game. Yeshiva came out swinging and jumped to a 51 lead as Lehman was running out of outs. Justin Chamorro Lehman's pitcher set solemn in the dugout carrying the weight of every inning before. But belief doesn't die that easy. Yeah, baseball has a way of rewarding the stubborn. They tied the game in the final inning as if the baseball gods wanted to prolong the quest for victory even more. This game went to extra innings and with bases loaded, it was one not with the crack of a bat, but a thud and just like that, the winning run came home for Lehman and their streak was over. How does it feel to get a win? Ah, feels excited. Definitely over the hump. First college win. You know, yeah, a little nerve wrecking, but it was excited, you know, dramatic fashion. I love it. I love it. It's baseball. It's the end of the streak. What does it mean to end that streak here? Start of a new beginning. That's what it is. I know when a door closes, another one opens. Hey, great job fellas. Let's go get ready for game to get ready for game two. But did we mention this was a double header? Let's go. Turns out the baseball gods had room for some balance pitch to pitch because in game two yeshiva for the first time since 2022 also tasted victory. Yes. Yes. On this blustery afternoon, two teams bound by heartbreak got what they both had been chasing. For once, baseball gave back to the same teams that never stopped giving to it. Great job.
