The second supermoon of 2025, which is also the closest of the year, will be visible this week. The moon will reach its full phase on Wednesday, and in North America, the optimal viewing time will be around dusk on Thursday.

During this event, the moon will be just 222,000 miles from Earth, making it appear especially large and bright. Observers are reminded that dusk will arrive earlier due to the end of daylight saving time.
