A civil disobedience group staged a protest at the Tower of London by throwing apple crumble and custard at the glass display case containing the Imperial State Crown, which is worn by King Charles. The demonstration was directed at the royals, the rich, and the powerful, and follows a series of similar disruptive actions by the group, including dumping manure at the Ritz Hotel.

Police arrested the dessert-throwing protesters on suspicion of criminal damage. Authorities confirmed that the crown was unharmed and the glass case sustained only a minor mess, which was easily cleaned.

The protest targeting royals, the rich and the powerful. It's the latest stunt by the Civil Disobedience Group which has a penchant for causing trouble. Earlier this week they dumped bags of manure at the Ritz Hotel in London. One security guard could barely believe his eyes. The activists soon dragged out of the luxury lodgings. The group perhaps taking inspiration from Just Stop Oil, best known for tossing tomato soup on a Vincent van Gogh painting, vandalising Stonehenge, interrupting play at the Ashes, even spray painting private jets. As for the dessert-wielding demonstrators, they were arrested and taken into custody by police on suspicion of criminal damage. The diamond-encrusted crown wasn't harmed and as for the glass case, it's nothing. A bit of Windex won't fix. John Paul Gonzo, 10 News.
