One of the highlight lots in the auction is Princess Leia's, as played by Carrie Fisher, original dress from the end finale scene of Star Wars, A New Hope, the first film that started it all in 1977. This is the actual dress that she wore on camera in the throne room scene at the end of the movie. Essentially this was going to be discarded as many props, costumes and pieces of set were at the end of filming Star Wars. It had sat there in a London attic for 30 years. It had quite a bit of wear and dirt and grime from storage. The estimate on the dress is $1 million to $2 million US dollars.
