Officials just come for photo opportunities and aren't interested in the woes of the people, despite the fact that every house in Balochistan is bleeding. They don't care. In another attack on the same day just hours apart, a bomb ripped through a mosque in Hangu district in northwest Pakistan. The powerful explosives brought down the roof. The province's most senior military official was quick to reassure people that authorities would find the perpetrators and ensure justice was served. Pakistan is in the grip of a new wave of attacks which has killed hundreds of security personnel. But the attack here in Hangu and Mastum also shows that even civilians are a target. The interior minister has blamed Indian intelligence agencies. The government has already taken a zero-tolerance policy on all terror organisations that are destabilising our country as part of someone else's agenda. We will go after them with everything we have, even if we have to launch an intelligence-based operation to track down where they are hiding. Although the international community has condemned the attacks, people here say words won't get rid of the threat posed by armed groups or help to stabilise the situation.
