And if I could not commit to approval of each and every one of the recommendations that would be forthcoming, I needed to resign. Menorrez said that ultimatum came during an August 25th meeting. The entire meeting was very tense. He was very upset. What was the secretary's reaction when you raised the need to consult scientific evidence before making decisions? This is when he stated that CDC had not collected the data or the science. He called CDC the most corrupt federal agency in the world, emphasized that CDC employees were horrible people. So you're saying she's lying? Yes. Earlier this month, Secretary Kennedy claimed Menorrez told him she was untrustworthy. Did you tell the secretary you were untrustworthy? He didn't ask me. He told me he could not trust me. Before her ouster, the ex-CDC chief said the secretary told her he planned to change the vaccine schedule this month, urging her to get on board. He spoke to the president every day about changing the childhood vaccine schedule. She cautioned putting politics over science. And it takes us into a very dangerous place in public health. Some senators now demanding more answers and accountability. Do you wanna hear from the secretary himself? I would be delighted to hear from the secretary again. Absolutely. Secretary Kennedy has to come and address this specifically.
