Two children, identified as male and female twins, were injured in a shooting that occurred in Cincinnati's Avondale neighborhood following a fight between neighbors. The incident took place around 2:30 PM and resulted in both children being hospitalized, with one grazed by a bullet and the other shot through the stomach. 

Local residents expressed concerns about ongoing gun violence in the area, noting that this shooting brings Avondale's total to 19 incidents this year, including seven in the past three months. Community leaders called for unity and collective responsibility to address the violence, while police continue their investigation with no new updates on the children's conditions.

The female was grazed by one bullet and then the other child was shot through the stomach. I reached out to CPD to get an update on their conditions and police told me at this time there is no new information and the investigation is ongoing. If it's not this street. Is 2 other streets, two blocks, three blocks from here. Angel Nunn lives near the area where the shooting happened. I'm thankful that I have a car and I can go to other direction if I choose to. Instead of have to walking up and down these streets to go back and forth to the bus stop, because there's a fear of gun violence. According to city of Cincinnati data as of December 3rd, there have been 18 shootings in Avondale this year. Sunday afternoon shooting on Lexington Avenue brings that total to 19, including seven in the last three months. It's always a tragedy, always a crisis, always horrible. These things happen to anyone, more or less to a to a child. Mitch Morris works with youth in Avondale daily working to stop the violence. His number one message. Be kind to each other. There's no need for all this evil hatred stuff that's happening in our community. Angel Nunn agrees. Yes, I would like to see. The more unity in this neighborhood and Morris says stopping the violence is a community effort. You know, at some point people in the community has to step up.
