The National Hurricane Center is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Dexter, which is accompanied by a developing inverted trough off the southeast coast of the United States. Confidence is increasing that these systems could bring significant weather impacts, with a 40% chance of further development noted.

Additionally, a tropical wave is moving into the Eastern Gulf and across Florida, contributing to increased rainfall in already wet areas. Forecast models currently indicate that while these systems will bring rain, there is no immediate expectation of hurricane formation. A brief break in wet conditions may occur before a resurgence of rainfall toward the weekend.

We are up to 40% now off the southeast coast. And so the confidence is increasing that something goes here. Remember, we've had Dexter, and then you've got kind of this inverted trough that's starting to develop in through here. We're also gonna have a tropical wave that's coming into the Eastern Gulf and across Florida. And you'll see all these features here. There's Dexter, 40 mile per hour shear loft. There's this little vorticity streamer on the backside of this. It starts to take kind of a west and then northerly track. Here comes the tropical wave through Florida and the Eastern Gulf. So it says the European. So this is it. Both of these mean rainfall right now. All right, nothing goes gangbuster, nothing develops it into a hurricane, even though that looks pretty healthy by the time we get into Sunday. So areas that have been wet along the Gulf with this anomalous front sticking down here, looks like we may see a break and then a resurgence of this as we get in toward the weekend.
