Chicago received two more bus loads of asylum seekers just yesterday, and they're designating new places for temporary shelters. But 1800 people are staying in police districts right now, and so seeing unhoused people around the city is much more common. Families with small Children have been sleeping and spending their hours in police district lobbies as they await more suitable housing. Chicago has recently announced that it's going to be a new shelter for people in need. The number of people in need is now 8 buses. 6565 are in shelters. 1800 await placement. Some are living at the American Islamic College on the north side where neighbors are tolerant. I thought it was like a daycare or something. I noticed that there was like families around, but I mean, it's all been kept pretty contained. So if I were in their shoes, I would want something like that for my situation, so it's nice that they're keeping it. It's nice that they're keeping it. It's nice that they're keeping it.
