Jack Schlossberg, the 32-year-old grandson of former President John F. Kennedy, has announced his bid for Congress, seeking to represent New York's 12th Congressional District. Schlossberg, the only son of Ambassador Caroline Kennedy and designer Edwin Schlossberg, is entering the Democratic primary following the retirement announcement of longtime Congressman Jerry Nadler.

Known for his outspoken social media presence, Schlossberg has previously campaigned for Kamala Harris and President Biden. In his campaign statement, he emphasized his commitment to representing those who are 'young at heart' and 'strong in spirit,' drawing a parallel to his grandfather, who entered Congress at age 29.
