James Gunn has responded to concerns about the large number of superheroes, villains, and DC characters in his upcoming Superman film. He stated that audiences will not be confused, as the story centers on Superman, Lois Lane, and Lex Luthor, with the film set in an already established world and featuring over 25 characters. Gunn noted that test screenings have shown viewers are able to follow the plot, comparing the film's character count to other major movies.

In other entertainment news, the live-action Street Fighter movie has reportedly cast Kalina Liang as Chun-Li. Additional rumored cast members include Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, Roman Reigns, 50 Cent, and Orville Peck, though their involvement has not been officially confirmed. The story will revolve around Superman, Lois Lane, and main antagonist Lex Luthor, which means Superman has been flying around doing superhero things for a few years when we meet him. The story will also include Mr. Terrific, Guy Gartner, Hawkgirl, Metamorpho, Baby Joey, The Engineer, The Hammer of Bravia, Ultraman, Eve Testmaker, Rick Flag Senior, Supergirl, Maxwell Lord, Kryptonian robots including Kelex, Jonathan Kent, Martha Kent, Perry White, Kimmy Olsen, Steve Lombard, Cat Grant, Ron True, Krypto, and Otis. That's a lot of DC characters. In an interview with Esquire Philippines, James Gunn said that he's screened the movie many times and has seen that people are not confused. Quote, I think Oppenheimer has three times as many speaking roles as we do. So I think people are fine. With a runtime of two hours and nine minutes, which is 15 minutes shorter than 2013's Man of Steel, do you think Superman will give all the characters their proper screen time? Legendary Pictures has reportedly picked up Kalina Liang to star in the female lead role according to Deadline. She might also be joined by other previously reported co-stars including Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, and WWE star Roman Reigns who is rumored to play Akuma. Barra could be played by 50 Cent who could be in talks for the role via his own tweet late last night. Another rumored cast is country star Orville Peck.
