Modi's acceptance to form the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) coalition ensures his leadership for another five years. This marks his third consecutive term as India's Prime Minister. The new government will be sworn in soon. 

This is the first time in a decade that Modi's party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), needed the support of regional parties to form the government. Previously, the BJP secured outright majorities in both 2014 and 2019. Key NDA leaders, who have fluctuated in their support in the past, have expressed confidence in Modi's leadership this time.

Negotiations for parliamentary roles are ongoing, with the BJP expected to retain major ministries such as Foreign Affairs, Defence, Home, and Finance. The coalition's formation brings back memories of the pre-2014 era of coalition governments. A post-election survey revealed that employment issues, rising prices, and falling incomes were major concerns for voters, influencing their support for Modi.
