Lake effect snow continues to fall across the Great Lakes region, particularly impacting areas along and south of I-90 from eastern Ohio through north central Pennsylvania to western New York. Snow accumulations range from 2 to 4 inches on main routes, with some areas receiving 6 to 10 inches or more. 

Road crews have treated major highways, but slick spots remain on less-traveled side roads and parking lots. A lake effect snow warning and winter weather advisory remain in effect, with light snow and gusty winds expected to persist, posing additional challenges for drivers, especially those in high-profile vehicles.

Good morning, you guys. You talk about Black Friday. We're focused on the black top today. It's obviously about what road conditions are going to be like for everybody out and about. We've got I-90 behind me here in Erie, Pennsylvania, and we know this stretch between Erie all the way to Buffalo, it can get gnarly. That lake effect has been on. Now, we haven't seen, you know, blockbuster snow totals, but we've gotten good amounts. I mean, I'd say average snow amounts across I-90, anywhere from roughly 2 to 4 inches, but then you head just south or east of I-90, and that's where some of the bigger totals are, 6 to 10 plus inches of precipitation falling anywhere from eastern Ohio to parts of north central Pennsylvania and even western New York. So, today's going to be a day where obviously more and more people may be getting out and about, right? You may be waking up today, what we call it the Thanksgiving hangover. You're like, oh, I ate too much. I got to go do something, whether it's a walk or you want to go shopping today. I know more and more people are going to be hitting the roads. A couple of things you need to know, at least here in this section of northwest Pennsylvania, temperatures pretty much stayed just above freezing. There was a couple times overnight where we just dropped to 32, but we were at 33, 34, and you know, that means the pavement you see behind me is probably going to stay pretty good. Plows have been out and about. Everything's been treated, but there are slick spots, areas that obviously haven't been traveled as much, side roads, and then you get into some parking lots that maybe haven't been plowed yet or still are in the process of being plowed. So just be mindful of that. There could be an occasion where you drive the sedan and, you know, you go into one of these parking lots to go shopping and your wheels are spinning and you're getting a little stuck and you need some help from some friendly neighbors to help push you out. So, that could be kind of the situation today. Interstates seem to be all right, which is good, but I do know that we're going to see more and more of that picking up. Now, in terms of the forecast, obviously this lake effect isn't going anywhere, right? We still have the lake effect snow warning until 1 a.m. late tonight into tomorrow morning and winter weather advisory, which means we're still going to pick up several inches. You can see it's still snowing on me, but Paul, it's the light, you know, the light flakes. It's not the big flakes that are going to amount to huge snow accumulations, but the wind is still going to be an issue. Anybody with a high-profile vehicle needs to be careful.
