More than 500 artists including filmmakers Jacques Audiard, Isabelle Adjani and Marion Cotillard have joined protests in France calling for peace in the Israel-Hamas War.

French artists rally for peace

A silent march described as a bridge between people and cultures. It's a call for unity and peace. More than 500 artists, including filmmaker Jacques Cotillard, but also actresses Isabelle Adjani and Marion Cotillard, all spontaneously decided to join this new collective called Another Voice. It's presided by the actress Lubna Azabal. She's Belgian and of Moroccan descent. Deeply saddened to see tensions on the streets, streets deeply divided, as she says, around the world in France following the attack of Hamas against Israel and the war that's ongoing and that followed that attack. She co-signed a tribune speaking of a war between Israeli and Palestinian brothers torn by horror and suffering since October 7th. This march starts from the Arab World Institute here, it will go through the heart of the French capital and pass by the Museum of Jewish Art and it's a strong symbol of course.
