A four-year-old girl was struck by a trail bike while walking with her family near Woodstock Avenue in Dharruk, New South Wales. The incident occurred after police attempted to speak to the rider, who accelerated along the footpath and collided with the child.

Bystanders and a passing cyclist provided immediate assistance before paramedics arrived. The girl was transported to Westmead Children's Hospital with head lacerations and is in stable condition. Police have recovered the motorcycle for forensic testing, and a person is in custody assisting with inquiries.

Witnesses claim the rider then continued without stopping. Witnesses rushed to help. A passing cyclist who hears the commotion can also be seen running over too. A helicopter was called in as paramedics stabilized the little girl who was then taken by road to Westmead Children's Hospital with head lacerations and is tonight in a stable condition. The motorcycle was ditched nearby, quickly picked up by police and sent for forensic testing. We are told that a person is in custody and he is assisting with police enquiries.
