Similar drone sightings have been reported in other NATO countries, including Poland, Romania, and Norway, raising concerns about coordinated efforts to interfere with national security.

Well, Denmark's defence minister says drone incursions over four of the country's airports overnight are the work of professionals. It's the second such incursion in recent days and caused flight operations to shut down. The defence minister says Denmark is considering activating NATO's Article 4 for the first time in Danish history. The CBC's Anna Cunningham has more now from London. I think it just goes to show how seriously Denmark are taking this, the fact that they are now considering discussions over Article 4. We know that there has been four NATO countries recently reporting drone sightings and we're not just talking about small commercially available drones. The indication is that these were large drones. These latest sightings Wednesday night were in Denmark. Let's just show you some footage that has come to us from the Reuters news agency. They have verified the location and also the time of this. Blinking green lights are seen over Alborg Airport last night and they stayed there for a number of hours. Now, that airport is used by Danish armed forces. It's just on the northern tip of Denmark's Zealand island. There was another airport as well that was briefly closed and also drones were spotted near Danish military sites in western Denmark, including one of the airbases which houses Denmark's F-16 and F-35 fighter jets. The Danish defence minister has been speaking at a news conference that was held today in Copenhagen. And, of course, the big question everybody is asking is, well, who is behind this? Charles Lunds Poulsen said there should be no doubt that everything points to that this is a professional actor when it comes to, he said, such a systematic operation in so many locations almost simultaneously. And he went on to say that he would define this as a hybrid attack with different types of drones. Just to clarify that, that phrase of the hybrid attack, it means a mix of military and non-military tactics that are designed to interfere with the nation's infrastructure and institutions. Just a brief recap, we've seen just over two weeks ago Poland shot down, it said, three drones after a number entered its airspace. A few days later, Romania reported a breach of its airspace. On Tuesday, there were drones spotted in Copenhagen in Denmark, Oslo in Norway, and now also overnight more drones spotted in Denmark. Arthi. The CBC's Anna Cunningham in London.
