A man on a bike and a woman walking were both killed when a driver slammed into them in Chinatown, according to the NYPD.

A deadly hit-and-run incident occurred near the Manhattan Bridge in New York's Chinatown, resulting in the deaths of two people. Surveillance footage showed a blue sedan speeding off the bridge and striking a cyclist and a 63-year-old woman on the sidewalk before crashing into a parked NYPD van and a jewelry store. 

Police report that two women inside the vehicle attempted to flee but were apprehended shortly after. Both suspects are currently in hospital in stable condition and have not yet been formally charged. The names of the victims have not been released.

You see a cyclist who was crossing at that moment We froze the video right before impact the driver. Police say kept on going jumping the curb striking a second person a 63 year old woman who was on the sidewalk and then an empty parked NYPD van that was thrown across the street into this jewelry store Authorities say both victims were pronounced dead at the scene It's it's horrific people need to slow down and pay attention when they're driving according to the NYPD. It happened just before 7 30 a.m near the busy intersection of Canal Street and Barry inside the vehicle two women who police say Attempted to flee the scene after leaving this path of destruction Coming out of They were the drivers of the vehicle, yep, they were the drivers they went to go grab it like grab their handbags so they can Leave leave the scene. I said do I said to the other people I said do not let them go anywhere Police catching up with the two shortly after and arresting them. I was really terrified I was petrified and I did not want these girls to get away with that Now The names of the victims have not been released as for the suspect the two with the two Women have not been formally charged.
