According to his family, Mosalet was beaten to death by Israeli settlers while protecting his family's land, and paramedics were delayed in reaching him. The incident has led to national and international calls for justice, with community members and organizations holding an interfaith vigil to honor his memory. Mosalet, known as Saif, was respected in Tampa as a local business owner, and his family and supporters have vowed to continue seeking justice.

It has been a long week of relentless calls for justice for the Tampa man killed while visiting family in the West Bank a week ago Friday. But tonight, moments of remembrance in honor of 20 year old Saifullah Mosalet at an interfaith vigil held earlier this evening. ABC Action News reporter Annette Gutierrez was there. Dozens of people came together tonight to honor 20 year old Saifullah Mosalet. Family members say he was taken way too soon and tonight they are calling for justice but also remembering the man he was. Today we remember my beloved cousin, a 20 year old U. S. Citizen from some of the youngest family members to a crowd full of people from across our entire community. The way he went was very vicious. Many came out to remember Saifullah Mosalet, also known as Saif, born in Port Charlotte and died in the West Bank. He was just 20 years old. We just don't want him to be forgotten. You know, we just want everybody to know who he really was as a person. I stand with you and I grieve with you and I am so very sorry for your loss. His uncle tells us he was on summer vacation when on July 11th he was beaten to death by Israeli settlers while protecting his family's land with two others in the West Bank. His family says it took three hours for paramedics to reach him, preventing them from saving his life. That's what hurts the most sparking national and even worldwide calls for justice because of the tragic and very brutal and barbaric nature of his death. It has in fact triggered alarm. It's not only a palestinian issue, it's, it's, you know, tragic for everyone and he is one victim. He is one of us is like my son care florida held a vigil welcoming people of all faiths to mourn safe's life from the christian community. I have four sons and when I look at safe, I just see my own sons to the jewish community without action, without solidarity for all human beings. They are empty words. Safe's family tells us they will miss him. He was respected in Tampa as the owner of a local ice cream shop with ambitions and dreams. Any other 20 year old that would be out there and wanted to have fun, look forward to life. Like I said, he looked forward to starting his own family, expanding his business to different locations.
